Who can borrow a Museum Pass?
Museum Passes may be borrowed by library cardholders with an adult membership in good standing.
How long is the loan period for a Museum Pass?
Passes may be borrowed for 5 days at a time. You may borrow two Museum Passes at one time.Loan period and fine information for museum passes can be found HERE.
Can I reserve a Museum Pass ahead of time?
You may check the catalogue or call ahead to see if a museum pass is available, but passes will only be held until end of day.
They cannot be reserved for a particular day in the future.
Museum Passes are available on a first come first served basis.
What do I get with the Museum Pass?
Your family gets free admission to the museum. The number of people allowed in with one pass varies between museums. See below for details.
Most museum passes may only be used to access permanent collections. Special or rotating exhibits may be accessed for an additional charge. Parking fees are not included.
Museum Partners
Canadian Clock Museum
This pass offers free family admission for parent(s) and their children (two generations) to the Canadian Clock Museum located in Deep River. Library card and pass must be presented for free admission. For additional information call the museum at (613)-584-9687.
Canadian Museum of Nature
This pass offers free admission for a family of 5 (with up to 3 adults) to the Museum of Nature in Ottawa. Museum reservations can be made by phone at (613)-566-4700 or 1-800-263-4433 or by email at tickets-billets@nature.ca.
Canadian Museum of History & Canadian War Museum
This pass offers free admission for a family of 5 (with up to 2 adults) to the Canadian Museum of History and the Canadian War Museum in Ottawa. This pass includes admission to the Canadian Children’s Museum. Contact the museum for additional information and availability at 819-776-7000.
Ingenium Museums (Agriculture/Aviation/Science)
This pass offers free admission for up to 2 adults and 4 children to the Ottawa Ingenium Museums, namely:
- Canada Agriculture and Food Museum
- Canada Aviation and Space Museum, &
- Canada Science and Technology Museum

National Gallery of Canada
This pass offers free admission for a family of 5 (with up to 2 adults) to the National Gallery of Canada. Not to be used with any other offer or discount. Children under the age of 12 are free.
