The Multilicious initiative was developed as a prelude to the Pembroke Public Library’s annual Multicultural Festival. It starts on June 1st and runs until the eve of our Multicultural Festival. It combines multicultural literacy and meaningful partnerships with local, food-focused businesses. The Multilicious initiative supports small, local businesses by generating interest, foot traffic, and in so doing, boosts economic activity. It encourages residents and newcomers to engage with and enjoy the area’s various types of dining experiences, celebrates the diversity of culinary offerings within Pembroke and surrounding areas and creates a whole some exposure to a variety of world cultures through culturally-significant dishes.
