FREE one-on-one sessions to help your children practice their reading skills.
For kids in Kindergarten to Grade 4.
4-6 week sessions – 1 hour in duration.
We help match your child to suitable library volunteer to help them become engaged with the library, and develop a lifelong love of reading.
How to Apply: Parents can fill out a paper application, and hand it into the Children & Teens Department. Applications are handled on a first come first serve basis, as spaces are limited. You will be contacted if selected for the program.
Readers Are Leaders is a time to practice reading together for kid readers and teen volunteers, in a safe and supportive environment.
Children under the age of 10 must be accompanied by a parent, guardian, or caregiver, and should not be left unattended at the library. It is the responsibility of the parent, guardian, or caregiver to supervise and safeguard their children.
